Scott A. Zucker

I’ve always been told that when you follow your passion it will lead to a joyous life.  With my love of the natural world and a keen fascination with bringing it to where people live, I’m blessed to have found great joy in landscape architecture.

Growing up with a father who was an interior designer fostered my interest in the built environment and what could be done when you give your imagination room to play.  How we choose to live, where we live, and how we manipulate the physical world to provide comfort and inspire happiness are fascinating to me.

Since the early 1990s, I have been working alongside award-winning architects such as Richard Landry, Dean Larkin, and Paul McClean, designing landscapes for high-end custom homes in Malibu, Beverly Hills, Beverly Park, Bel Air, Brentwood, Hollywood, Rancho Palos Verdes, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, as well as Marin and Sonoma Counties. In 1994 I broadened my project list to include public commissions such as retail centers, churches, synagogues, and senior care facilities.  Zucker Design Associates has also expanded its geographical reach, now featuring projects in New York, Las Vegas, Seattle, Jakarta, Indonesia and Singapore.

Scott A.Zucker earned his B.S. in Landscape Architecture from the University of California at Davis in 1983. He holds a Landscape Architectural license in California.

With my love for the built environment, and my understanding of the importance of the natural preservation of our planet, I bring a modern view, holistic approach, and sustainable sensibilities to each of our design challenges.

In 2015 I earned a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the NewSchool of Architecture and Design in San Diego, California.

I joined the ZDA team in early 2017 with an eclectic knowledge of the design and build worlds. I bring a sophisticated and analytical approach to the design process with functionality and high design at the forefront.
